In this 2.5-hour workshop, we’ll explore the shimmering, textured beauty of micaceous clay from Northern New Mexico. I'll guide you through the process to create a unique altar/wall hanging. Perfect for holding a candle, precious things, or just to display on it's own.
Dive into your creative flow under an ancient oak surrounded by the plants of Cosmic Plant Co. Make a full day of it by exploring the historic town of Gruene, TX and check out the Texas Clay Festival happening the same day!
Multiple templates and designs will be available to customize your piece. Pieces will be fired and left unglazed - allowing the beautiful mica to sparkle through (which turns gold after firing!)
No experience needed—just come ready to play.
Please dress comfortably and be ready to get your hands dirty—in the best way. Short nails recommended for a more enjoyable experience.
Pieces will be fired unglazed and ready for pick-up in 5-6 weeks (in Gruene or Austin). Shipping available for an additional fee.

🐝 With Buzz in the Hills, you’ll learn the timeless art of hand-dipping your own beeswax tapers — golden, all-natural candles that will glow warmly in your home all season long.

Arid Garden
Guests will design a custom cactus arrangement using a variety of unique specimens, set in a classic 6" terracotta pot or a vessel of their choice. We’ll walk you through plant selection, soil layering, and design tips to help you create a striking, low-maintenance display that brings a little desert magic into your home. All materials are provided—just bring your imagination and love for spiky things!

Kokedama Workshop
Join us for an intimate, hands-on workshop where you'll learn the art of kokedama—the Japanese technique of creating lush, living moss ball arrangements. Guided step-by-step, you'll craft your own kokedama with the option to create a hanging piece or a dish-style display. All materials are provided, and no experience is necessary—just bring your creativity and love for plants. Perfect for small groups, celebrations, or a peaceful creative escape.

Mounting Workshop
Get your hands dirty and your creativity flowing in this immersive workshop where you'll mount a tropical or arid plant of your choice onto a beautiful 12" cedar plank. We'll guide you through the process step-by-step, creating a living work of art that can be proudly displayed indoors or out. Choose your plant, learn the mounting technique, and leave with a unique piece that brings the beauty of nature into your space. All materials included—no experience needed.
